The claret is another rich color that mixes well with other matte colors. Like your Poinsettia, it is perfect on its own, but I really like it for adding shadow and depth to anything I paint red.
The Claret was gorgeous. I used it to color my white chocolate for cake pops for my best friend's wedding. I have always been terrified of trying to color chocolate and this just mixed right in like it wasn't there. The color was so rich and so beautiful. No washed out color here! A little went a long way.
I love The Sugar Art powder pigments for getting the deep colors I want without the bitter taste. I use them to color macaron shells, cookie dough, icing, and for painting and shading on pre-iced cookies.
This powder form product is so versatile! Perfect for dry dust shading and provides an amazing range of color shades when added to icing.. Add a little for a soft color or a 1/8th teaspoon for a saturated, rich color. The color developed quickly too!
Completely and totally obsessed with this color. I use it more than any other color and last time I purchased a couple extra to have on hand. It's more pink than the photo shows, more like a dark purpley fuchsia. It's perfect for dusting black ranunculus and dahlias.
