Due to user error on my part, I accidentally ordered the Elite collection instead of the Master Elites. It wasn’t until my order arrived (which was super fast!) and saw a post from Nicole over at Bake Toujours that I realized I should have ordered the Master Elites. ♀️ I decided to try them in macarons anyway, because why not, what’s the worst that could happen. I’m sure (after watching some videos in the education section) that the Master Elites are far more concentrated and I’d use less. However, it wasn’t the end of the world and I still was able to make beautiful vibrant and fun colored macarons… yes, even the white worked! I’m not sure if my process was correct, or if there is a better way to do it for macarons, but I mixed the powdered color into the granulated sugar in a shade that was just a little darker than I wanted. I’m excited to experiment and try mixing the powder directly into the batter to see which method I like better. Next time I’ll order the Master Elites and maybe so glitter and shimmer powders. I’m sure I’ll love them too!
