We have 3 ways to make your edible glitter strawberries!
Today we are featuring Rainbow DiamonDust, our 100% Edible Glitter, in the small shaker jar! So be sure you grab your favorite DiamonDust for this tutorial. Also, you will want to work with very warm chocolate for every technique.
TECHNIQUE #1: Wait for the chocolate to set up just a little on your freshly dipped strawberry!
Drive a wooden skewer into the top of your strawberry to stabilize it. This will hold your berry as you dip it into your WARM chocolate.
Twirl the skewer around to keep the berry from constantly dripping. Wait 2-3 minutes for the chocolate to just set up ... you know know that it's close to setting up as the berry begins to lose it's shine. Don't wait too long, however, as you need the slightly warm chocolate to act as the adhering agent for your edible glitter.
Grab a piece of parchment paper to place under your berry. You will then take the small shaker jar of DiamonDust, edible glitter, and shake the edible glitter as you twirl the berry around - adding as much or as little coverage as you desire!
Don't worry about the sparkles that fall beneath, the parchment paper will catch them and then you can funnel your precious edible glitter back into the jar.
TECHNIQUE #2: Striped Chocolate Covered Strawberries!
After you dip your strawberry into the chocolate, allow it time to FULLY set up! You want the strawberry completely dry before you do this next step.
Once the berry is dry, lay onto the parchment paper and take a piping bag or spoon, then drizzle small lines onto the berry back and forth.
As soon as you have the stripes on the strawberry done, do not wait - sprinkle the edible glitter all over them!
Don't forget to keep the berry on the parchment paper as well, to save all those sparkles! Once the edible glitter is shaken on to the strawberry, flip it over and shake vigorously - releasing all the glitter that landed on the dried chocolate. Then all you are left with are sparkly stripes! :)
TECHNIQUE #3: Use Color Solution Edible Paint As the Adhering Agent!
Maybe you need to cover a dozen chocolate covered strawberries in edible glitter, and don't want to wait for that exact moment to apply the edible glitter. The Color Solution is the answer and solution!
You will only need 2-5 drops of color solution per strawberry, and you'll definitely want to check out our Premium Paint Brush Set for this technique as well! Grab the small circular brush (pictured above) to apply the color solution over the entire berry.
Once covered with The Color Solution, do not wait - shake that edible glitter all over the berry! It acts as the most incredible edible glitter adhering agent for any dried chocolate piece you are working with!
