Unlike painting with everclear or vodka, however, The Color Solution provides more moisture to carry your edible paint further across the surface of your confections. When painting with straight alcohol, after one stroke it is fully set up - you cannot continue carrying the edible paint. With The Color Solution, you have more "working time" and can build or blend any colors you choose!
Keep in mind, however, it will take a little longer to dry than vodka or everclear. We recommend letting it dry 20-30 minutes. Once it does dry, the edible paint is fully locked into your cookie and will not rub off!
Let's answer some FAQ's surrounding ELITE COLORS (edible paint powders):
- How do you use Elite Colors?
- Elite Colors are activated food colors, unlike Master Elites (click for ME education here), so what you see is what you get. Elites are topical colors and best applied through painting, dusting and airbrushing!
- Do Elites Color Ingredients?
- Technically they can, but that is NOT their best use. You will need to use much of the jar to achieve medium-dark tones. The darker Elite Colors (Like Mona Lisa, for example) will get you much further when trying to tint ingredients.
- Are they fat soluble?
- YES! Unlike Master Elites, Elite Colors are fat soluble and can color chocolate specifically. Master Elite Food Colors cannot. However, you need to choose the darkest tones we offer (Like, Mona Lisa) so your jar will go much further.

- Which colors work with this product?
- Elite Colors (not Master Elites) and Sterling Pearls work best.
- Technically Master Elites can be activated by The Color Solution, but the best lines are listed above.
- Does this product contain alcohol?
- Yes. Along with other additives, binders, etc. It is a proprietary blend, but all ingredients can be found under the product description and on the label of the bottle.
- How much comes in one bottle?
- 1 fluid oz.
- Will you be releasing larger bottles?
- We hope to by our Thankful Friday Sale, but no guarantees.
- How long will one bottle last?
- Depending on how much you use per application, but the amazing thing with THE COLOR SOLUTION, you need to keep your consistency thick - using less of the product than you would with vodka or everclear.
- Are you able to make an edible paint without alcohol?

- No. The gums inside of The Color Solution will impact the powder after applied. The powder will not dry out as it would with Everclear, so please do not save and reuse the powder later.
