Let's discuss how to color cookie dough and how to ensure the color stays VIBRANT through the baking process! The solution? Master Elite Food Colors of course! Watch below!

Now, gel food colors will never yield the same results because they are now 100% food color. They range from about 25-35% actual food color, where Master Elites are 100% food color! This is why your cookie dough will stay rich and vibrant even as you bake.

Activating the Master Elite will be key, which Sara mentioned above! We like to use a little water to help break those color crystals down and kickstart that activation process. Remember, these colors will only get more vibrant as they sit and develop, so be sure to stop a shade lighter than what you're wanting, because it WILL deepen as it sits / bakes.

Tools needed:

LEARN ALL ABOUT MASTER ELITES BELOW!

Master Elite Food Colors are 100% pigment, so what you see in your jar is not the color you will get. They need to be activated by moisture, so depending on your project - that can vary. Royal Icing (water), Macarons (egg whites), Buttercream (heavy cream or butter) and so on. We will link multiple Master Elite Videos for you below, so you can learn all about the beauty of these incredible food colors.

ELITES AND MASTER ELITES ARE NOT THE SAME :)

We know our color names can be confusing, but remember - Elite Paint Powders are exactly what the title says, edible painting powders! Unlike Master Elites, they are already activated so what you see in the jar is what you get! Elite Paint Powders are best painted, dry dusted and airbrushed.
