Okay y'all ... let's make the most EPIC sweet charcuterie board you've ever seen for the 4th of July!

COLORING COOKIE DOUGH

Products Used Are Linked At The End: Red Rose and Cerulean Blue Master Elites

We ABSOLUTELY LOVE coloring cookie dough! It is a fun and easy way of jazzing up your cookies, without having to color bags and bags of royal icing. A simple chocolate drizzle, a few sprinkles and DIAMONDUST edible glitter (of course) your left with the cutest patriotic cookies you ever saw!

And Master Elite Food Colors are INCREDIBLE for almost any sugar art medium, even your COOKIE DOUGH!

However - you need to first ACTIVATE the color! As you may have noticed, Master Elites are raw pigment food colors and the color you see in the jar is not ultimately the color you will get when using inside of your confection! They must be activated by moisture. The Master Elite will bloom instantly when in contact with moisture!

Adding Master Elites to cookie dough can be done in a couple of ways. You can create a well (as you see us do here in the video) add tiniest amounts of powder and then a few drops of water. Swish the powder in the well with a scribe until those color crystals are full dissolved, then knead, knead, KNEAD! Master Elite COLLECTION (click here)

OR if you're only doing one For a full demonstration on Master Elites in all mediums, be sure to review the post below and click all of the demo links in the post! Many video demonstrations available right there:

Products Used Are Linked At The End: Navy and Red Rose Elite

For the stacked pretzels, we worked with a lot of white chocolate to get the beautiful red, white and blue! Our Elite Colors (not Master Elites) are fat soluble and perfect for coloring chocolate! Since Elite Colors are activated colors, what you see is what you'll get. So you will need to add MORE Elite Colors to tint any ingredients, including chocolate.

We only recommend using Elites for coloring chocolate, since they are fat soluble! Master Elites are best for coloring LITERALLY everything else! The EXCEPTION is Master Elite Black and White, which ARE fat soluble! They are the only two colors in the ME Collection that are, however.

Elite Colors in general are more versatile than Master Elites, as you can also use them to dry dust, paint and even airbrush! Linking some important TUTORIALS for you below to understand how to use the Elite Collection!

COLORING MARSHMALLOWS

This was our favorite part of the project, because the Master Elite Colors turned out SUPER vibrant! Red Rose and Cerulean Blue were used again to get the really cute red and blue Rice Krispie treats! By adding the butter first to our pot on the stove top, we incorporated a lot of moisture for those Master Elites to activate well and fast! The moisture from the melted marshmallows also helped in achieving the super bright tones!

We cut them in little circles, dipped in white chocolate, added sprinkles and EDIBLE GLITTER, of course, and they turned out so darn cute! The perfect treat for your 4th of July parties!

THANK YOU!

This board was a lot of work, but a TON of fun! You could do one, two or all the treats we did here for your own 4th of July celebration. Individually, every treat is a very simple process and easy to execute!
